The Danish Cabin is available to book from April to October and is a new take on glamorous nature escapes that shares a large communal kitchen area and facilities.

The Danish Cabin at Kudhva is a spacious off-grid hideaway located just outside Tintagel on Cornwall’s north coast. Built as a 1:3 scale replica of a Cornish engine house, the cabin is tucked into a wooded valley next to a 40-foot waterfall and offers practical, well-designed accommodation for up to six people.

The space is set over two levels. Downstairs, there’s an open-plan layout with two sofa beds that double as sleeping areas, while the upper level features four built-in bunk beds—making it ideal for families or small groups. Outside, a private deck extends over a stream, offering a quiet spot for meals or relaxing in nature. A firepit and seating area are located nearby for cooking or evenings outdoors.

While the cabin itself is off-grid and simple in design, essential amenities are available within walking distance. Guests have access to a shared outdoor kitchen, compost toilets, and showers. The cabin also includes its own private compost toilet. Bedding and towels are provided, and additional extras like breakfast hampers, firewood, or use of a wood-fired hot tub with sea views can be arranged on-site.

There’s no Wi-Fi, phone signal, or heating, so guests should come prepared for a back-to-basics experience—especially in cooler months. Waterproofs, warm layers, and a head torch are recommended nearer the end of the season.

This is a good option for those seeking a more grounded escape—close to nature but with a solid structure, thoughtful design, and access to the essentials needed for a comfortable stay.
